The next morning I left the house and gave my gratitude to the old lady that let me stayed at her place for a night. We waved at each other as we said goodbye. The lady shouted "Be strong! you’ve got a long journey!" I smiled and said "I will!".
As i walked into the deep forest and followed the river to the nearest town just right ahead. As i was appreciating the beauty of nature. A bumped into a friend, a long long time friend. So i ran over and say hello. But as i was running he doesn’t seem to respond or happy to see me. As i ran closer, I was shock cause there was sword in his hand. I grab him by the arm "What happened!?". A sudden fear rush through my vain. He pushed me away and point his sword at me.
With anger and hatred he said "Is non of your business!". I tried to calm him down and asked "What happened? tell me. Lay down your sword!". He refuses and threatened to cut me if i interfere. He said "She left me! with another man!". Shock by what i heard. All i could think about is how to calm him down and defend myself if he does do anything crazy. He kept saying "How could she, how could he!" I’ll show them both. I’ll be far superior and rich than anyone!". I said "that’s not the way! let it go! Showing your power and getting rich to get even with them is pointless! Is her choice and her life! Calm down!"
Without hesitation he just came towards me and slashed saying "Shut up!". I manage to evade but with slight injury. At this point I have to prepare. I remembered i brought along my sword and is for emergency. I shouted "What the hell! cut it out! This battle is over!". With a grin on his face he said "Over? Is not over yet. A battle isn’t a fight, As long as both side are still alive is not finish. My battle with him! Who stole her away from me!" I said "What i mean is that there’s no more reason left to fight, she left and thats it!".
Disgusted by it he said…
"Do you need a reason… in a battle?. Give up and just accept it!. You seek battle too, you seek power, isn’t it?. Those who seek power.. all of them even you and me, without exception seek battle!. Do you seek battle in order to obtain power? Do you fight in order to seek power? I don’t know about any of that. But i know at least one thing. You instinctively seek battle! Because there is no other way to obtain power. There is no other path, both before you and behind you!"
